Additional valve timing has been added to the 2.0L engine as an upgrade to the 2005 model. There is also a five-speed automatic transmission on models with the optional and even more powerful 2.3L engine.

The 2.3L engine might be an enticement as it is PZEV certified in several key states. With the air conditioning models is available a pollen filter and a console that displays the outside temperature.

A fun-to-drive car, the 2005 Mazda 3 has a stylish and plush interior and features a hatchback utility. Many consumers believe the car offers a great ride and has some great ergonomics, the Mazda 3 has certainly been well received by serious Mazda fans and critics.

With an all new model released just a year before, there was little Mazda 3 could do for the 2005 model to improve its great design. Despite that, there are a few minor upgrade changes to this model. There is a new 15” wheel cover design and also support for the Sirius Satellite Radio.

Impressive mileage, good looking stock tires and plenty of room in the back seat are a few other reasons you should try this reasonably priced vehicle.
